History AOT is led by a Director, who is responsible for promoting tourism and developing publicity campaigns that are related to tourism and are distributed through various state, national and international media (A.R.S. § 41-2302). In addition to these duties, AOT is specifically required to conduct various forms of tourism research and develop programs to promote tourism in Arizona. AOT is allowed to charge reasonable fees, set by the Director, for services and publications (A.R.S. § 41-2305). Provisions 1. Allows AOT to produce, own, sell or license services or personal property related to AOT's goals, limited to marketing- and branding-related promotional materials and intellectual property. (Sec. 1) 2. Permits AOT to charge reasonable prices, rather than reasonable fees, for the use of its items. (Sec. 1) 3. Establishes the Tourism Development Fund (Fund) consisting of revenues from AOT's duties and powers which is continuously appropriated for supporting tourism marketing and branding. (Sec. 2) 4. Requires AOT, beginning in FY 2025, to report to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee on the monies in the Fund and expenditures from the Fund made in the previous fiscal year. (Sec. 2) 5.
