History Statute requires permanent public records of the state, a city or town, a county or other political subdivision of this state to be transcribed or kept on paper or other material that is durable and of permanent quality. Such permanent public records must be stored and maintained according to standards for the storage of the records as established by the director of the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records (A.R.S. § 39-101). Provisions 1. Stipulates that an entity that is subject to a public records request must provide the following information of the employee who is able and authorized to provide the requested information: a) Name; b) Telephone number; and c) Email address. (Sec. 1) 2. Specifies that the contact information of the authorized employee must be made available to the public on the website maintained by the entity. (Sec. 1) 3. Directs the authorized employee to reply within five business days acknowledging receipt of the request for a public record.
