History Statute currently states that an individual who meets the below eligibility requirements are ineligible for a TWS if that person is convicted of a felony: 1) A person who is a member or former member of the U.S. armed forces; 2) A person who received a purple heart citation and whose disability rating determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA) is 50 percent or more; and 3) Was a resident of Arizona or was stationed in Arizona at the time of the injury that resulted in the purple heart citation. Provisions 1. Repeals statute that states an individual who meets TWS eligibility requirements is ineligible for an TWS if the person is convicted of a felony. (Sec. 1) 2. Makes technical changes.
