Purpose
Requires the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to send a renewal reminder notice and

history records check is conducted within 60 days after receipt of the renewal application (A.R.S.
§ 13-3112).
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this
legislation.
Provisions
1. Requires DPS to send a renewal reminder notice and renewal application form to a concealed
weapon permit holder at least 60 days before the expiration date of the permit.
2. Makes technical changes.
3. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
Amendments Adopted by Committee
• Requires the renewal reminder notice and renewal application to be sent to the permit holder,
rather than the permit holder's last known address.
