Sponsor: Senator Livingston, LD 22
Committee on Government & Elections
Overview
Changes the deadline for a political action committee (PAC) and political party to submit a
quarterly campaign finance report for a calendar year without an election.
History
Current statute requires a PAC and political party to file a campaign finance report with the filing
officer. The Secretary of State's Instructions and Procedures manual prescribes the format for all
reports and statements (A.R.S. § 16-926).
The report must be filed no later than the 15th day after the calendar quarter and be complete
through the last day of the calendar quarter (A.R.S. § 16-927).
Provisions
1. Revises the deadline during a calendar year without an election for a PAC and political party
to file a quarterly campaign finance report covering each reporting period from the 15th day
to the third Monday in the month after the calendar quarter. (Sec. 1)
