SUBJECT: Strike everything amendment to S.C.R. 1018, relating to essential employees;
COVID
Purpose
Expresses gratitude to essential employees who are working during the COVID-19
pandemic.
Background
On March 23, 2020 the Governor issued an Executive Order 2020-12 clarifying essential
services as: 1) healthcare and public health operations; 2) human services operations; 3) essential
infrastructure operations; 4) essential governmental functions; and 5) essential businesses and
operations.
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this
legislation.
Provisions
• Expresses gratitude to essential employees who are working tirelessly during the COVID-19
pandemic.
