(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE) Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.40, to read: START_STATUTE9-500.40. Water service A. For a city that before January 1, 2023 provides water to customers outside of the city's service area and reduces or terminates that service on or after January 1, 2023, the city shall make the same reduction in or TERMINATION of the water supply to the mayor and members of the CITY council. B. If a city terminates water service as prescribed by subsection a of this section, the city is LIABLE for the following with respect to the persons whose water was terminated: 1. Fire damage to personal property. 2. Health problems incurred by children as the result of the termination. 3.
