Overview 
Outlines regulations for salary increases for specified county officers beginning January 1, 2025.  
History 
Currently, statute prescribes, by county population, the salaries for county officers (A.R.S. § 11-
419). These salaries were last increased in the 2021 Legislative Session. The annual salaries for 
county officers beginning January 1, 2025 are as follows: 
 
Counties with a population of less than 
500,000 persons 
Officer 	Annual Salary 
Attorney 	$143,678 
Assessor 	$83,800 
Recorder 	$83,800 
Sheriff 	$120,824 
Superintendent of schools $83,800 
Supervisor 	$83,800 
Treasurer 	$83,800 
 
Provisions 
1. Stipulates salary increases apply for the following county officers: 
a) Attorney; 
b) Assessor; 
c) Recorder; 
d) Sheriff; 
e) Superintendent of schools; 
f) Supervisors; and  
g) Treasurer. (Sec. 1) 
2. Authorizes a County Board of Supervisors to implement any Legislatively approved salary 
increases over the course of the next four-year term for applicable county officers. (Sec. 1) 
3. States this act applies to salary increases beginning January 1, 2025. (Sec. 2)
