An Act
appropriating monies to the department of transportation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Appropriation; department of transportation; Happy Valley Road; intent A. The sum of $12,500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the department of transportation to distribute to the city of Phoenix for improvements on Happy Valley Road between 35th Avenue and 67th Avenue. B. The legislature intends that: 1. The department of transportation use any federal monies available for the project described in subsection A of this section to supplement the monies appropriated in subsection A of this section. 2. The city of Phoenix contribute $14,800,000 to the project described in subsection A of this section.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; department of transportation; Happy Valley Road; intent
A. The sum of $12,500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the department of transportation to distribute to the city of Phoenix for improvements on Happy Valley Road between 35th Avenue and 67th Avenue.
