An Act

 

appropriating monies to the state treasurer.

 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Appropriation; state treasurer; training simulators A. The sum of $1,000,000 is appropriated from the peace officer training equipment fund established by section 41-1731, Arizona Revised Statutes, in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the state treasurer for training simulators. B. The state treasurer shall distribute the monies appropriated in subsection A of this section in the following amounts to the following recipients to purchase the listed training simulator: 1. $300,000 to the Flagstaff police department to purchase a V-300 LE simulator. 2. $300,000 to the Mohave county probation department to purchase a V-300 LE simulator. 3. $300,000 to the Gila county sheriff's office to purchase a V-300 LE simulator. 4. $100,000 to the Casa Grande police department to purchase a V-100 LE simulator. Sec. 2. Legislative intent The legislature intends that the training simulator devices purchased pursuant to this act will be used for de-escalation and tactical training as well as training on effective ways to deal with autistic, deaf or mentally ill communities. 

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

A. The sum of $1,000,000 is appropriated from the peace officer training equipment fund established by section 41-1731, Arizona Revised Statutes, in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the state treasurer for training simulators.

B. The state treasurer shall distribute the monies appropriated in subsection A of this section in the following amounts to the following recipients to purchase the listed training simulator:
