Overview 
Appropriates $1,500,000 from the state General Fund (GF) to the Department of Public Safety 
(DPS) in FY 2024 to distribute to the City of Tucson to operate a Real Time Crime Center (RTCC).  
History 
RTCCs are operations centers that support law enforcement and fire departments to prevent and 
reduce crime, provide effective and efficient police service to the community and enhance citizen 
and officer safety. RTCCs can connect and integrate various law enforcement tools such as: 1) 
computer aided dispatch; 2) automated police vehicle locators; 3) license plate readers; 4) 
Live911; and 5) city-owned and other authorized CCTV cameras (RTCC Mesa; RTCC Glendale).  
Provisions 
1. Appropriates $1,500,000 from the state GF to DPS in FY 2024 to distribute to the city of 
Tucson to operate a real-time crime center. (Sec. 1)  
2. Exempts the appropriation from lapsing. (Sec. 1)
