voter registration events; posting 
Purpose 
Requires the Secretary of State (SOS) and each county recorder to post a list on its website 
of each event the SOS's Office or the county recorder's office attends and provides voter 
registration services. Requires the list of events to be posted within 24 hours of attendance. 
Background 
Blank state voter registration forms must be supplied by the county recorder. The SOS 
must make voter registration forms as prescribed by the election assistance commission for 
distribution through governmental and private entities (A.R.S. ยง 16-151). The SOS and county 
recorders may place reasonable restrictions on the number of forms to be provided to individuals 
or organizations depending on the type of voter registration activity conducted and reasonable 
estimates of the number of voters that the individual or group will seek to register  
(EPM Ch. 1 (I)(A)). 
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this 
legislation.  
Provisions 
1. Requires the SOS and each county recorder to post a list of each event the SOS's Office or the 
county recorder's office attends and provides voter registration services on the SOS's public 
website and the county recorder's public website. 
2. Requires the list of events to be posted on the SOS's public website and the county recorder's 
public website within 24 hours after the SOS's, county recorder's, SOS's Staffs' or county 
recorder's staffs' attendance. 
3. Requires the list of events to include the location, title of the event and all organizations 
affiliated with the event. 
4. Makes technical changes. 
5. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
