(now: appropriation; nonprofit veterans organization State of Arizona House of Representatives Fifty-seventh Legislature First Regular Session 2025 HOUSE BILL 2933 AN ACT appropriating monies to the department of veterans' services to assist pinal county veterans with housing and employment. (TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE) Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Appropriation; department of veterans services; veterans organization in Pinal county; exemption A. The sum of $500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the department of veterans' services to award grants pursuant to title 41, chapter 24, Arizona Revised Statutes, to nonprofit veterans organizations that are physically located in counties with a population of less than five hundred thousand persons and that assist [distribute] [award grants pursuant to title 41, chapter 24, Arizona Revised Statutes,] to [a ] nonprofit veterans [organization] [organizations] that [is] [are] physically located in [Pinal county] [counties with a population of less than five hundred thousand persons] and that [assists] [assist]veterans in securing housing or employment benefits. B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations, through June 30, 2027.
