AN ACT
appropriating monies to the department of veterans' services to assist pinal county veterans with housing and employment.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Appropriation; department of veterans services; veterans organization in Pinal county; exemption A. The sum of $500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the department of veterans' services to award grants pursuant to title 41, chapter 24, Arizona Revised Statutes, to nonprofit veterans organizations that are physically located in counties with a population of less than five hundred thousand persons and that assist [distribute] [award grants pursuant to title 41, chapter 24, Arizona Revised Statutes,] to [a ] nonprofit veterans [organization] [organizations] that [is] [are] physically located in [Pinal county] [counties with a population of less than five hundred thousand persons] and that [assists] [assist]veterans in securing housing or employment benefits. B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations, through June 30, 2027.
