Overview
States the Legislature's commitment to reinstating the full appropriation for the Water
Infrastructure Finance Authority (WIFA).
History
Laws 2022, Chapter 366 made a total 3-year commitment of $1,000,000,000 to the Long Term
Water Augmentation Fund (LTWAF) through the means of:
a) a transfer of $334,000,000 in FY 2023 from a diversion of the State's transaction
privilege tax, and;
b) appropriations of $333,000,000 from the General Fund in FY 2024 and FY 2025.
The FY 2024 general appropriations act reduced the FY 2024 appropriation to $189,200,000.
The FY 2025 general appropriations act contained no funding from the General Fund for the
Fund deposit line item.
