Overview 
Authorizes candidates for a school board office to collect their nomination petition signatures 
via E-QUAL. 
History 
E-QUAL is a secure internet portal that the Secretary of State maintains for qualified 
electors to sign nomination petitions.  The Secretary of State is required to maintain this 
system for candidates for statewide and federal legislative offices, judicial offices requiring a 
nomination petition, municipal offices, county offices, office of the clerk of the superior court 
and precinct committeemen (A.R.S. §§ 16-316, 16-317, 16-318, 16-319, SOS Website). 
Provisions 
1. Adds candidates for a school board office to the list of offices for which the Secretary of 
State must provide an internet portal where qualified electors can sign nomination 
petitions. (Sec. 1)
