Sponsor: Senator Gowan, LD 19 Committee on Judiciary Overview Increases the criminal penalty for the unauthorized filling, evacuating or defacing of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) container. History A.R.S. § 36-1624.01 prohibits anyone other than the owner of an LPG container, or a person authorized in writing by the owner, from filling, refilling or evacuating the container, as well as from defacing or removing identifying marks on it. A violation of this statute is classified as a class 3 misdemeanor. Provisions 1. Makes the unauthorized filling, evacuating or defacing of an LPG container a class 2 misdemeanor.
