(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE) Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Appropriation; housing trust fund; action prohibited A. The sum of $25,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the housing trust fund established by section 41-3955, Arizona Revised Statutes. B. If a landlord receives monies from the appropriation made in subsection A of this section as payment for rent owed to the landlord by a tenant, the landlord may not file, finalize or enforce any action against the tenant for the unpaid rent.
