Overview 
Mandates the inclusion of a statement for ballot initiatives setting forth statutes likely to 
conflict or be impacted by the proposed initiative.  
History 
An initiative is the method by which voters may propose or amend laws by gathering 
signatures from registered voters to place an issue on the ballot (SOS Website). 
The form of a petition for a law or amendment to the Constitution must be substantially in a 
prescribed form and manner that includes a description, of 200 words or less, detailing the 
principal provisions of the proposed law or constitutional amendment (A.R.S. § 19-201).  
Provisions 
1. Requires an additional statement for an initiative's description listing statutes likely to 
conflict or be impacted by the passage of the proposed measure or constitutional 
amendment and a brief summary of the potential conflict or impact. (Sec. 1)
