Overview 
Diverts a $15,300,000 appropriation initially designated for a nonprofit rodeo operator at the 
Yavapai County fairgrounds to the City of Prescott.  
History 
The FY 2024 General Appropriation Act appropriated $15,300,000 to a nonprofit volunteer 
organization that operates a rodeo at the Yavapai County fairgrounds.  Laws 2024, Ch. 209 
exempted the appropriation from lapsing and additionally stated that if a court with 
jurisdiction rules the appropriated monies may not be distributed to the nonprofit, the monies 
must revert to the State General Fund within 60 days of the judgement.   
Provisions 
1. Reallocates $15,300,000 appropriated by the FY 2024 General Appropriation Act, from a 
nonprofit volunteer organization that operates a rodeo at the Yavapai county fairgrounds, 
to the City of Prescott to renovate and repair the rodeo grounds owned by the city. (Sec. 
1) 
2. Makes technical and conforming changes. (Sec. 2)
