Existing law establishes various programs for the prevention of disease and the promotion of health administered by the State Department of Public Health, including, but not limited to, provisions requiring the department to establish the standards of competence applicable to the performance of nuclear medicine technology by various health professionals, to regulate the process by which these persons establish their competence, and to assess related fees. This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 107160 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read: 107160. (a) The department shall provide  ,  by regulation  ,  a schedule of fees that shall be paid by persons applying to establish their competence to perform nuclear medicine technology. The revenue derived from the fees shall be sufficient to cover all costs incurred in the administration of this article. (b) The fees paid by applicants shall be adjusted annually, pursuant to Section 100425, and the adjusted fee amounts shall be rounded off to the nearest whole dollar.
