Public health: South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District. The County Sanitation District Act sets forth the powers of a county sanitation district formed pursuant to its provisions. This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation authorizing the South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District to establish a waste water or sanitation rate discount program for disadvantaged persons, similar to the low income and assistance programs administered by the Public Utilities Commission. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation authorizing the South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District to establish a waste water or sanitation rate discount program for disadvantaged persons, similar to the low income and assistance programs administered by the Public Utilities Commission.
