State government: income and expenditure data. Existing law requires the Controller to submit an annual report to the Governor containing a statement of the funds of the state, its revenues, and the public expenditures during the preceding fiscal year, and requires the report to be published in an electronic format or printed, as determined by the Controller. This bill would declare the intention of the Legislature to enact legislation to require all state income and expenditure data be made available to the public. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no.
