Existing law governs family law proceedings involving marriage, dissolution of marriage, nullity of marriage, legal separation of the parties, division of property, child, family, and spousal support, child custody, adoption, and the parent and child relationship. Under existing law, if a reference is made to a provision of law, that reference applies to any amendments and additions made to that provision of law.
