 BILL NUMBER: AB 281INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Gorell FEBRUARY 8, 2011 An act to amend Section 72 of the Labor Code, relating to employment. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 281, as introduced, Gorell. Employment: compensation. Existing law provides that members of the Industrial Welfare Commission shall receive $100 for each day's attendance at meetings and other official business of the commission. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 72 of the Labor Code is amended to read: 72. The members of the commission shall receive one hundred dollars ($100) for each  day's   day of  actual attendance at meetings and other official business of the commission and shall receive their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
