Existing law authorizes, until January 1, 2014, a school district governing board to enter into a design-build contract for both the design and construction of a school facility if specified requirements are met. This bill would delete the January 1, 2014, repeal date, making the chapter operative indefinitely. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 4 of Chapter 421 of the Statutes of 2001 is repealed.Sec. 4.This act shall remain in effect only until January 1, 2007, and as of that date is repealed, unless a later enacted statute, that is enacted before January 1, 2007, deletes or extends that date.SEC. 2.
