Disposition of human remains: fees. Under existing law, the local registrar of births and deaths is required to collect various fees for an application for the disposition of human remains. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would eliminate the fees for the disposition of human remains.
