 BILL NUMBER: SB 437INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Senator Correa FEBRUARY 16, 2011 An act relating to transportation. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 437, as introduced, Correa. Orange County Transportation Authority. Existing law establishes the Orange County Transportation Authority, which is composed of 18 members, including 10 members from the supervisorial districts of the county elected by the Orange County Selection Committee, as specified. This bill would, with regard to the 10 members elected by the Orange County Selection Committee, set forth the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would require the opportunity for representation on the authority to be provided to all cities of supervisorial districts in Orange County. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would require the opportunity for representation on the Orange County Transportation Authority to be provided to all cities of supervisorial districts in Orange County, pursuant to subdivision (b) of Section 130052 of the Public Utilities Code.
