LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 904, as introduced, Yee. Environment: agency. The California Environmental Protection Agency, created pursuant to the Governor's Reorganization Plan No. 1 of 1991, consists of the State Air Resources Board, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, the State Water Resources Control Board, and each California regional water quality control board, and the following departments: Pesticide Regulation, Toxic Substances Control, and Resources Recycling and Recovery. This bill would make a statutory change consistent with the plan. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 57000 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read: 57000.  (a)    For purposes of this division, the following terms have the following meaning:  (a)   (1)  "Agency" means the California Environmental Protection Agency.  (b)   (2)  "Council" means the California Environmental Policy Council established by Section 71017 of the Public Resources Code.  (c)   (3)  "Secretary" means the Secretary for Environmental Protection.
