Existing law authorizes the Department of Motor Vehicles to adopt appropriate rules and regulations for the use and display of stickers or devices issued in lieu of license plates and requires that the department publish a summary of these rules and regulations. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 5205 of the Vehicle Code is repealed.5205. The department may make appropriate rules and regulations for the use and display of stickers or devices issued in lieu of license plates, and shall publish a summary thereof.
