The California Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1973 provides the Division of Occupational Safety and Health with all the power, jurisdiction, and supervision over all employment and places of employment that is necessary to enforce and administer all occupational health and safety laws and to protect employees. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 6307 of the Labor Code is amended to read: 6307. The division has the power, jurisdiction, and supervision over every employment and place of employment in this state,whichthat is necessary to adequatelytoenforce and administer all laws and lawful standards and orders, or special orders requiringsuchevery employment and place of employment to be safe, and requiring the protection of the life, safety, and health of every employee insuchevery employment or place of employment.
