 BILL NUMBER: AB 2547INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Beth Gaines FEBRUARY 21, 2014 An act to amend Section 18986.62 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, relating to health and human services. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2547, as introduced, Beth Gaines. Placer County Integrated Health and Human Services Pilot Program. Existing law requires Placer County, upon approval of the county, and with the assistance of the appropriate state departments, to implement a pilot program for the funding and delivery of services and benefits through an integrated and comprehensive county health and human services system. Under existing law, these provisions become inoperative on July 1, 2016, and are repealed on January 1, 2017. This bill would extend by 5 years the dates upon which the provisions relating to the Placer County health and human services pilot program would become inoperative and would be repealed. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: yes. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 18986.62 of the Welfare and Institutions Code is amended to read: 18986.62. This chapter shall become inoperative on July 1,  2016,   2021,  and, as of January 1,  2017,   2022,  is repealed, unless a later enacted statute, that becomes operative on or before January 1,  2017,   2022,  deletes or extends the dates on which it becomes inoperative and is repealed.
