State highway routes. Existing law provides that the Department of Transportation has full possession and control of the state highway system. Existing law includes specified state highway routes under the jurisdiction of the department. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to amend Article 3 (commencing with Section 300) of Chapter 2 of Division 1 of the Streets and Highways Code.
