LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 843, as introduced, Correa. County boards of education: vacancies. Existing law prescribes requirements for the appointment of members to a county board of education. Existing law specifies that when any vacancy exists on the county board of education of any county on or after December 1, 1978, the vacancy shall be filled in a prescribed mannner. This bill would delete the obsolete reference to the date in the above provision prescribing requirements for the filling of vacancies on a county board of education. Vote: majority.
