 BILL NUMBER: AB 2023INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Assembly Member Gray FEBRUARY 16, 2016 An act to amend Section 35400.5 of the Vehicle Code, relating to vehicles. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2023, as introduced, Gray. Vehicles: length. Existing law prohibits a vehicle from exceeding a length of 40 feet, except for a motortruck used solely as a cotton module mover and that does not exceed 48 feet in length. This bill would instead exempt a motortruck used solely as a cotton module mover and that does not exceed 53 feet in length from that prohibition. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 35400.5 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read: 35400.5. Subdivision (a) of Section 35400 does not apply to a motortruck used solely as a cotton module mover and  which   that  does not exceed  48   53  feet in length.
