Existing law authorizes an information to be laid before a magistrate, as specified, that a person has threatened to commit an offense against the person or property of another. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 701 of the Penal Code is amended to read: 701.  An information   Information   that a person has threatened to commit an offense against the person or property of another  may be  laid   brought  before any of the magistrates mentioned in Section  808, that a person has threatened to commit an offense against the person or property of another.   808.
