LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2797, as introduced, Chiu. The California Farmland Conservancy Program Act. Existing law prescribes procedures for the establishment of agricultural conservation easements intended to preserve and protect certain agricultural lands in the state. Existing law provides that this law shall be known, and may be cited, as the California Farmland Conservancy Program Act. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to this latter provision. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 10200 of the Public Resources Code is amended to read: 10200. This division shall be known, and may be cited, as the California Farmland Conservancy Program Act. Any  other references   reference  in this division to the Agricultural Land Stewardship Program Act of 1995 shall  hereafter  mean the California Farmland Conservancy Program Act.
