LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 343, as introduced, Melendez. Public postsecondary education: academic credit for prior military experience. Existing law requires the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges to determine courses for which credit should be awarded for prior military experience. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 66025.7 of the Education Code is amended to read: 66025.7. By July 1, 2015, the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges, using common course descriptors and pertinent recommendations  of   from  the American Council on Education, shall determine for which courses credit should be awarded for prior military experience.
