LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 943, as introduced, Anderson. Vehicles. Existing law, the Motor Carriers of Property Permit Act, provides for the issuance of permits for motor carriers of property upon the payment of a fee and proof of insurance and workers' compensation coverage. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 34600 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read: 34600. This division shall be  known   known,  and may be  cited   cited,  as the Motor Carriers of Property Permit Act.
