The bill would also create the California Domestic Violence Prevention Fund and require that moneys in the fund be used, upon appropriation by the Legislature, to provide grants to nonprofit organizations, local education agencies, and local governments for the purpose of funding initiatives to educate communities on domestic violence and the available resources for victims of domestic violence.Existing law establishes the University of California, under the administration of the Regents of the University of California, the California State University, under the administration of the Trustees of the California State University, and the California Community Colleges, under the administration of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges as the 3 segments of public postsecondary education in this state.This bill would require the California State University and the California Community Colleges, and would request the University of California, to provide each student with at least 2 hours of instruction in financial literacy, except as specified.
