That act requires the establishment of a local workforce development board in each local workforce development area of the state to, among other things, develop effective linkages with employers in the region to support employer utilization of the local workforce development system and to support local workforce investment activities.This bill would authorize the board to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the local workforce development boards in the state to coordinate mutual aid assistance between all local workforce development boards in the event that any local workforce development board needs additional assistance in disaster relief efforts or activities in that local workforce development area.
