This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would authorize state departments and agencies that require background checks and security clearances to recognize federal security clearances from individuals that have been in the military with similar or commensurate clearances in order to remove barriers to employment and accelerate the transition from military to civilian life.
