LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGESTAB 811, as introduced, Gray. Clinics.Existing law regulates the licensing of various entities engaged in delivering healthcare services, including a clinic, defined as an organized outpatient health facility that provides direct medical, surgical, dental, optometric, or podiatric advice, services, or treatment to patients who remain less than 24 hours, and that may also provide diagnostic or therapeutic services to patients in the home as an incident to care provided at the clinic facility. Existing law defines a license for that purpose as a basic permit to operate a clinic.This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to that provision.Digest Key Vote: MAJORITY  Appropriation:  However, the The issuance of a license upon a change of ownership shall not of itself constitute a project within the meaning of Section 127170.
