LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGESTAB 1489, as introduced, Rodriguez. Local control and accountability plans: schoolsite councils. Existing law requires the governing board of each school district and county board of education to adopt a local control and accountability plan and to update its respective local control and accountability plan before July 1 of each year. Existing law requires the governing board of a school district, before considering to adopt the plan or annual update to the plan in a public meeting, to consult with specified persons in developing the plan, present the plan or annual update to the plan to specified committees, and hold a public hearing, as specified.
