Existing law requires, within 10 days after the date of filing a supplemental petition, the executive officer to examine the supplemental petition and certify in writing the results of their examination.This bill would increase the amount of time, from 30 to 45 days after the date of filing a petition, for the executive officer of the local agency formation commission to cause the petition to be examined and prepare a certificate of sufficiency. The bill would increase the amount of time, from 15 to 20 days after a notice of insufficiency, for a chief petitioner to file with the executive officer a supplemental petition. The bill would increase the amount of time, from 10 to 15 days after the date of filing a supplemental petition, for the executive officer to examine the supplemental petition and certify in writing the results of their examination.
