The bill would require a school district to, on or before June 30, 2024, use the standard model to implement restorative justice practices as part of efforts to improve campus culture and climate. By imposing additional duties on school districts, the bill would constitute a state-mandated local program.The California Constitution requires the state to reimburse local agencies and school districts for certain costs mandated by the state.
