Existing law requires the commission and other state agencies that propose green building standards to allow for input by other state agencies that have expertise in green building subject areas, as provided.This bill would require the commission, upon the next triennial update of the California Green Building Standards Code that occurs on or after January 1, 2023, in cooperation with the Department of Housing and Community Development and the State Architect, to adopt, approve, codify, and publish revised building standards related to bicycle parking that sets forth minimum bicycle parking requirements on a basis that is independent of the number of vehicle parking spaces.Existing law requires that all rigid plastic bottles and rigid plastic containers sold in the state be labeled with a code that indicates the resin used to produce the rigid plastic bottle or rigid plastic container. Existing law makes it a crime, punishable by a fine of $1,000, to manufacture for use in the state a rigid plastic container that is not labeled in accordance with those requirements.This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the latter provision.
