                    CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE 20212022 REGULAR SESSION Senate Bill No. 1098Introduced by Senator SternFebruary 16, 2022 An act relating to public social services.LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGESTSB 1098, as introduced, Stern. In-home supportive services and waiver personal care services.Existing law establishes the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program, which is administered by the State Department of Social Services, counties, and other entities, under which qualified aged, blind, or disabled persons are provided with supportive services in order to permit them to remain in their own homes. Existing law establishes the Medi-Cal program, which is administered by the State Department of Health Care Services, under which qualified low-income individuals receive health care services. Existing law authorizes certain Medi-Cal recipients to receive waiver personal care services (WPCS) in order to permit them to remain in their own homes.
