Existing law, the Professional Engineers Act, provides for the licensure and regulation of professional engineers by the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in the Department of Consumer Affairs. Existing law prohibits a person from practicing civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering unless that person is appropriately licensed or exempted from licensure pursuant to the act.This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
