Section 38752 is added to the Vehicle Code, to read:38752. An autonomous vehicle that is designed to be operated exclusively and at all times by autonomous technology, as defined in Section 38750, shall not be subject to any state law or regulation requiring the installation or maintenance of vehicle equipment that relates to or supports motor vehicle operation by a human driver, but is not necessary for operation by autonomous technology alone.
