This act is an urgency statute necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety within the meaning of Article IV of the California Constitution and shall go into immediate effect. The facts constituting the necessity are:Procedural relief is necessary for the County of Colusa because the position of County Road Commissioner has been vacant since March 2020 and, under current rules, the county must meet a deadline to find a new road commissioner to avoid gas tax apportionment sanctions.
